Clarity
There have been several experiences in my life when an important detail suddenly became very clear. The fog lifted, and suddenly I could see things in a different--and much more accurate--light. Even, perhaps especially, when the fog set back in, I leaned upon what I had learned during those times to keep me going. You have probably experienced similar circumstances in your own life. Indeed, moments of clarity are often the "dots" God uses in our lives to connect the lines of a story that might look fragmented and nonsensical otherwise.
In the passage we will look at Sunday, we'll see how Jesus lifted the veil--if only for a moment--on who he was and what he was about; the first recorded incident we have of these things since his early childhood. So what exactly did he reveal--to his parents, to Luke's original readers, to us? Come Sunday and we'll see how Jesus' own words add Clarity to his both his mission and his identity in our ongoing series The Story of God.
Grace & Peace,
Brian
