Our Ministries

St. Patrick facilitates a host of ministries in which people can exercise their God-given talents and abilities. No matter your interests, schedule, or knowledge about "church stuff," there is a place for you to get involved!  Keep reading for a synopsis of several of our ministries.  For more in-depth information, click on the drop-down tab for each ministry.

Community Groups

Community groups are the lifeblood of relationship building here at St. Patrick. These groups meet from August-December and January-May on various weeknights.  Go to Community Groups page to learn more about our philosophy of ministry and to see a schedule of groups.  All groups expect and welcome visitors!

Youth Groups

St. Patrick has a strong youth ministry comprised of students from numerous schools in our area--public, private, and home schools.  With large group meetings on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, small groups on select Sunday nights, and special events throughout the year, your 7th-12th grader will have a blast learning the marvelous truths of the Gospel with a group of peers.  Due to heavy adult involvement in this ministry, the Youth Group is also a great place for your kids to be involved in "transgenerational ministry," where he or she will have the chance to develop deep friendships with their elder brothers and sisters in the faith.

Children's Ministries

The Children's Ministry at St. Patrick is our largest single ministry.  In fact, roughly 25% of our membership (about 350) is under the age of eleven! Our children enjoy excellent Bible teaching and worship, as well as crafts, skits, and other fun activities, as well as a full meal, every Wednesday night (during the school year) at SonShine.  There is also Sunday School from 10:15-10:50 on Sunday mornings, as well numerous special events throughout the year.

Men's Ministry

The Men's Ministry at St. Patrick seeks to give men opportunities to develop relationships organically through cookouts and overnight retreats, as well as times for Scriptural study in our Tuesday morning Bible study, Band of Brothers.

Women's Ministry

The Women's Ministry is involved in a thousand different things. They are truly the "hands and feet" of much of what goes on around here. Not only do they provide numerous opportunities for service, but they facilitate Bible studies, Monday Lunch Bunch, and many other chances for women to connect in worship and fellowship.

Worship

What is corporate worship like at St. Patrick? It is a blend of ancient and modern, liturgical and intimate. We incorporate elements from many Christian traditions, from Catholic to Lutheran to Presbyterian to Baptist. Our services include responsive readings, corporate prayer, Scripture reading, the great Creeds of the Church, and Communion every Sunday.  Our music is mainly comprised of the great hymns of the church, usually set to more modern tunes, accompanied by our folk ensemble--acoustic guitar, mandolin, double-bass, harmonica, drums, violin, piano--to provide a warmth and "singability" often lacking from these songs in their original composition.  Likewise, we incorporate recently-written songs that have shown themselves to be God-honoring, Christ-centered, and musically excellent.  Sermons are usually about 30 minutes in length, and we offer Junior Worship for children ages four through second grade during this time.  The entire service typically lasts one hour and ten minutes.  Dress is casual--come as you are!
